SOC Event Submission
Do you have an idea for an event that you would like Society of Camera Operators to produce?
It is important to the SOC to participate and allocate resources to events that are significant to the membership. We value your input and want to hear from you. The Society has added a review and approval process through our sanctioned event forms. Each form will be presented to the Board and a decision to participate and or produce will be determined.
Before adding a new event to the existing sanctioned event calendar, SOC needs to consider the following:
- Would it produce a positive impact on camera operators and the community?
- What would be the staff time involved in pre-planning, preparation, and producing the event (if any)?
- Would the event be able to support itself financially, or would it involve the budgeting of dollars by SOC?
Please assist SOC in understanding the details of your event idea by completing an event request form and submitting it to SOC for consideration. All requests must be at least 60 days prior to the event date to be considered.
Two forms are attached below. If you are a member in good standing, please select the “Sanctioned Event Request Form.” Corporate Members must use the “Corporate Member Event Request Form.” Once you have completed the appropriate form, email it to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail it to PO Box 2006 Toluca Lake, CA 91610.
