SUMMARY:Gear-Head / Wheels Training
DESCRIPTION:The SOC is offering Gear-Head/Wheels Training Sessions for members to sharpen their operating craft. The sessions provide the opportunity to spend time on two systems—Panhead and NODO—that are available in the SOC’s Burbank offices. The training is available to all members in good standing and is by appointment only. \nEach session is 1.5 hours—they are NOT instructor led. We will provide “Getting Started FAQ” and a video instruction link for the NODO system. \nBegin the sign-up process by sending an email to Operations@soc.org with your interest\, and you’ll receive a response with dates and times of available sessions and other registration instructions. \n

SUMMARY:SOC Camera Crane Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Get hands-on experience with 45-foot telescoping cranes\, modular cranes\, Scorpio Arm vehicle\, and stabilized remote heads. Work with experienced SOC operators executing practical set-ups over this 2.5-day immersive workshop. \nThe workshop kicks off Friday afternoon and concludes on Sunday afternoon and will include lectures\, discussions\, and ample hands-on training. The workshop size is limited to 25 to give each participant one-on-one time with instructors. \nDesigned for camera operators with some level of set experience who are interested in developing valuable\, hands-on\, practical knowledge to refine their camera operating skills. Be prepared to be in the water and\, if you have not dived recently\, we recommend you refresh your skills.
