SOC Event Submission

Do you have an idea for an event that you would like the Society of Camera Operators to produce?

It is important to the SOC to participate and allocate resources to events that are significant to the membership.  We value your input and want to hear from you.   Your Idea will be presented to the Board or Education Committee and we will respond with a decision via email.  The SOC needs a minimum of 90 days to approve and present an event.

Please assist SOC in understanding the details of your event idea by emailing Membership@soc.org and address these questions:  

  • Is your organization a current Corporate member of the SOC?
  • Please give a brief description of the event, the amount of time, and the location.
  • What would the attendees walk away with from attending (please be specific)?
  • What would be the staff time involved in pre-planning, preparation, and producing the event (if any)?
  • Would the event be able to support itself financially, or would it involve the budgeting of dollars by SOC?
