In Memoriam:
Lohengrin Zapiain

It is with great sadness that we inform our membership of the sudden passing of our dear friend and Active SOC member Lohengrin Zapiain on January 15, 2022.

Starting his career as a focus puller from Mexico City, Mexico, Loh moved to Vancouver, Canada, in pursuit of further film opportunities as a camera operator. An active Steadicam operator, Loh has been a friendly face and a source of smiles on Toronto film sets, with his humorous sarcasm and his big belly laughs. We remember his consummate professionalism, his enthusiasm and dedication to his craft, and his fostering of future operators through mentorship and guidance.

Lohengrin will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Laura and son Luka. A GoFundMe has been set up to support his family.
