The Society of Camera Operators invites its members to a LONG LENS WORKSHOP for cinema operators to learn broadcast and broadcast operators to learn cinema. Presented by FUJINON & PRG and led by legendary camera operator Hector Ramirez and cinematographer Dylan Sanford (Super Bowl Halftime Show). Free and exclusively for SOC members.
This hands-on workshop will cover:
- Safely & efficiently building a long lens camera package using both 2/3″ Broadcast lenses as well as S35 and Large Format Cinema long zooms lenses.
- The role of the camera operator in planning and suggesting shots, working for the director and with the rest of the crew in PRG’s 35LIVE!® multi-cam production setup.
- Tips & tricks for effective Zoom & Focus. Quickly getting, composing and holding the shot to make your director happy.
- Explore the cultural and technical differences between operating in a multi-camera cinema show and a traditional 2/3″ broadcast show.
